Monday 22nd March – bike **** – Around Felixstowe including lunch at Trimley Churches – sunny and mild.

Walk **** - sunrise prom walk

Mag was up early and was heading down to the prom for a walk so I decided to join her despite my heel not being great which can make walking painful. We were down on the on the seafront just before 6 and were not expecting much of a sunrise as it was very hazy with a bank of cloud out to sea but the winds were light and it was nice and quiet so a joy to be out. Then as we headed towards The Spa a big red ball slowly appeared through the gloom which was very nice to see:) I got a few OK pics including one of a gull sitting on a post against the sun before returning up through the gardens and along the cliff for a warm drink in bed and sort out my pics.

Bike ****

Still stuck in the middle of the big high it meant another sunny day with temperatures rising inland to 20 degrees but only reaching half that with a chilly easterly breeze but it was warm in our sheltered garden so once again did my exercises outside. We have had a couple of close brushes with people with covid so to be on the safe side gave our usual visit to an old friend a miss, Mag ringing her instead. So, I made a sandwich leaving home around one, biking down through the woods at The Grove with the crow community very noisy nest building! Along Candlet Lane leading to the two Trimley Churchs where we stop and chat to an old friend out walking with her Grandson before finding our set in the churchyard with loads of rabbits running off through the mass of daffodils:) Well rested we continue across the fields to the huge footbridge over the Felixstowe railway line with a couple of trains passing! Back along the tree lined path to Trimley with blossoms everywhere, around the Academy and home. Another top bike ride, could be several more days of cycling with no sign of this high moving:(
